We Start

We are Charlotte and Ken from Belgium.
Two people who are madly in love and share a passion for travelling (and Whiskey).
So instead of following the beaten path we chose to wander off the main road.
We bought a 13 year old boxtruck, converted it into a tiny house on wheels and left off to see what's over the hill...
Our home for 3 years has brought us all over Europe. After countless adventures,
we traded it for a 4x4 pickup truck to climb even bigger hills and deeper valleys.
Prepared to face dusty roads we’ve set sail towards Southeast Asia…

about us

“There was nowhere to go but everywhere, so just keep on rolling under the stars.”

The year it all started. Two adventurous and slightly insane people fell madly in love and decided to pursue their dreams.

The two dreamers bought a van! A Mercedes Sprinter Boxtruck. (why should anyone buy a boxtruck for god sake?) Anyway, they gave up their apartment, quit their jobs and converted the boxtruck into a small house on wheels.

Finally!! After 5 months of building it was time to hit the road for the first time. The lovebirds travelled from Belgium to France, Spain and Portugal and chased the sun.
Unfortunately 2020  was also the year Covid hit for the first time. So after only 4 months of roaming free, the lost dogs returned home. They found a job, fattened up their bank account and were gone again by the end of the year.

After travelling through Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Bulgaria they arrived in the Hellenic Republic. Due to Covid they missed out on Bosnia and Albania, but they were lucky enough to get to visit Serbia and Bulgaria before entering Greece.

Having spend 7 months on the road of which they’ve spent almost 5 in Greece they decided to head back home. During the next month they discovered the land of pizza, pasta and Chianti before finally arriving in the land of fries, chocolate and beer.

Because of their love for the sun and the sea the two wanderers decided to spent the winter of 2022 on the Canary Islands. With a slightly different approach this time…
They would continue working remotely while exploring the beautiful islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Tenerife.

And by the end of the summer of 2022 another big change took place. The travel company expanded. Flo, a wild and adventurous German Shepperd puppy, joined the team.

In contrast to their habits of chasing the sun and running from the cold and wet winters in Belgium the threesome headed off to even colder and wetter territory: Scotland. Here we discovered the most extraordinary treasures often need us to navigate through difficulties

After spending spring in England, Scotland and Wales their nomadic soul grew restless. They decided that before the end of the year they would be embarking on a bigger, longer and even more adventurous journey. With their new ride, Frank the tank, who has the ability to get them safely through every terrain. Spending the wintermonths in Italy and their beloved Greece before heading off to Central Asia.

After crossing the Bosphorus, the nomads officially left Europe and are currently exploring the Asian continent. It’s going to be one hell of a roadtrip!

reasons for

success

Vanlife and long term travel success is no easy feat. It takes hard work, dedication and a willingness to adapt to changing situations. Communication is key to successful travel, especially when it comes to couples. Understanding the needs of your partner, being open for discussion, and finding a way to overcome fears together is how couples create longlasting memories on the road.

So a successful experience requires more than just a van and the basic gear needed to travel... You also must have the enthusiasm, dedication and flexibility to make the most of your journey. This means being able to adapt to new situations, remaining open-minded, and being able to communicate effectively with your partner.

Furthermore, it is important to be able to work together during difficult situations and learn how to manage your expectations and emotions.
