The Gateway to Asia

Türkiye, the land where East meets West, where ancient history merges with vibrant life, and where every corner holds a new surprise. In february 2024 we embarked on a journey through this incredible country, and it’s safe to say it left us both amazed and inspired.

From the bustling streets of Istanbul to the surreal beauty of hidden gems like Nallihan, Türkiye offers a world of contrasts. We crossed the iconic Bosphorus, explored ancient cities, and even stumbled upon forgotten dreams in eerie places like Burj Al Babas. Each stop on our route told a story, each moment offered a new perspective. If this is the gateway to Asia, then we’re ready to step through, hearts wide open

But our words can only capture so much. To truly experience the magic of Türkiye—the vibrant energy, the breathtaking landscapes, and the stories etched in time—you have to see it for yourself. We’ve captured our journey in a video that we’re excited to share with you.

But the journey didn’t stop there! We traveled from the sunlit shores of the Turquoise Coast to the rugged, expansive Anatolian plains, each step revealing new wonders. Meke Gölü greeted us with its shimmering salt lake, while the snowy heights of Hasan Dağı challenged us to push our limits. And then there was Cappadocia—a place so surreal, it felt like stepping into a dream. Watching the hot air balloons rise with the morning sun over those iconic rock formations was a moment that truly took our breath away.

After some days in magical Cappadodia we ventured further east, discovering the serene beauty of Gökpinar Gölü and then onward to the ancient heights of Nemrut Dağı. Despite the clouds and the long day behind us, our early morning trek rewarded us with a sunrise that was nothing short of spectacular. 

As we left Türkiye behind, we were filled with gratitude for the experiences, the incredible hospitality, and, of course, the unforgettable flavors that added a few extra pounds to our luggage (thanks, borek!). This journey through Türkiye was more than just a trip—it was an adventure that will stay with us forever.
